Why Portland Homeowners Hire Out Their Christmas Lights

You’ve priced lights at the hardware store and realized a decent roofline display is hundreds of dollars in strands you’ll own, test, untangle, and replace yourself. Your roof pitch looked fine in July and looks genuinely dangerous in a wet December. Or you did it all last year, and the display died a week before Christmas anyway.

Our model removes every one of those failure points: we supply and own commercial-grade LEDs, our insured crews do the climbing, outages are fixed within 48 hours on our dime, and in January the whole thing disappears into our climate-controlled storage, labeled and ready for next season.

Classic Roofline Christmas Lighting

A clean C9 roofline in warm or classic white: timeless, visible from the street, minimal maintenance

  • Typical linear feet: 120 to 180 lf on most Portland‑area bungalows and 1‑story homes.
  • Typical budget: *$5–$15 per linear foot* → $600 to $2,700+ depending on access and roof complexity.

Best for: smaller facades, townhomes, and first-year clients.

Signature Roofline + Feature Christmas Lighting

Keep the roofline and add one high‑impact accent: icicles, a front‑yard tree wrap, or stakes/path lights to guide the eye and define the entry

  • Typical linear feet: 160–240ft. If total across roofline + feature.
  • Typical budget: Roofline at $5–$15/lf plus feature:
    • Roofline: usually $5–$14/lf
    • Tree wraps: usually $7–$18/lf (density and branch coverage drive cost)
    • Stakes/paths: usually $5–$8/lf

Best for: most single-family homes: balanced and photogenic.

Showcase Full Curb Appeal Christmas Lighting

Our statement package for larger facades and corner lots, roofline, multiple tree wraps, stakes/path, and a wreath or garland for a magazine‑worthy finish.

  • What’s included: Roofline (often 180–280 lf), two or more tree wraps, path/bed edging, and a wreath or garland set.
  • Typical linear feet: 250–400+ lf across roofline and accents.
  • Typical budget: Combining $5–$15/lf roofline with accent footage, most Showcase homes cost $1,900–$4,500+ depending on difficulty, tree count/density and lift work.

Best for: multiple gables, deep setbacks, and highly visible corners.

What Christmas Light Installation Costs in Portland

Straight answer: most of our residential projects land between the mid-$500s and $3,000+, and the price is driven by linear footage and difficulty, roof height and steepness, access (ladder vs. lift), and how many features you add. Straightforward one-story rooflines run about $5/lf; complex or high-access work runs $12–$15/lf. You get an exact quote after a free mockup and measurement, no dispatch fee, ever.

What Determines Your Price

Footage first, then difficulty: a steep second-story gable takes longer and needs more safety setup than a walkable bungalow eave; dense mature trees take more strand-feet than young ones; corner lots show (and light) two facades. The mockup visit measures all of it, which is why our quotes are exact rather than “starting at.”

Free Design Mockup: Your House, Lit, Before We Hang Anything

A quick virtual or on-site consult lets us measure your roofline and preview color palettes – warm white, red/green, multicolor, or subtle RGB scenes – on a photo of your home. Want classic white on weeknights and a festive scene on weekends? Programmable timers make it one design, two moods.

High‑impact placements: peaks and ridge lines, porch icicles, path lights to frame walkways, and tree wraps near sidewalks for walk‑by sparkle.

GREAT JOB GUYS. I would HIGHLY recommend !!"

How We Build Displays That Survive a Portland Winter

Wet-side winters kill amateur displays in predictable ways: water wicks down cords into connections, GFCI outlets trip on soaked plugs, and wind lifts poorly clipped strands off gutters. We route wiring with drip loops so water falls off before it reaches a connection, use outdoor-rated connections and GFCI-aware layouts to stop nuisance trips, and clip with non-marring hardware that holds in wind without damaging gutters or shingles. It’s the difference between a display that’s serviced twice a season and one that’s serviced never.
